Review
This is one of the most well written books I've read this year. The cover of the book isn't a colorful one, yet it looks intriguing enough to lure the readers towards it. The title also complemented very well with the story. The gripping blurb gives a glimpse of what lies behind the cover. This book is account of a courageous army officer, which portrays immense patriotism. The tragedy of war adds an emotional touch to the story. Emotions has been very vividly expressed. The bond between father and son seemed so touching. It actually made me cry while reading.
Characterisation has played an important role in the story. The author has intricately designed each character to highlight the characteristic trait of each of them. The suspense element kept me glued to the story till the end. The twists and turns enhanced the charm of the story. And I must mention the story has a nail-biting climax!
The theme is very nice. The plot is well chosen. The storyline is strong enough to keep its readers hooked till the end. The language is simple and lucid. The story maintains a uniform and steady pace throughout. Characters have been well designed.
Overall this has been a wonderful read. Looking forward to read more from the author.
