Blurb

Parrot Under The Pine Tree is the powerful expression of love. In the girl's heart, it's subtle, sublime and eternal. But in the boy's heart, it's earthy, insecure and restless. The anxiety brings the two young hearts close. In the clean and tranquil environs of Kausani, Vedanta inadvertently meets Saranga under bizzare circumstances and both fall in love with each other. But Alas! Their happiness doesn't last long. On one fateful night of temptation, the storm that blows up not only consumes his heart and soul, but also shreads that of Saranga into pieces. On insistence of her grandma, Saranga agrees to give a second chance to a repentant Vedanta. But misgivings remain in her heart. Will Kausani rework the magic between the estranged couple?

Review

This is a beautiful story about love and it's different dimensions, breakup and how nature plays it's part to heal a broken relationship.

The story revolves around two young people - Vedanta and Saranga. Vedanta comes to the beautiful hilly village of Kausani and his paths cross with a young girl, Saranga. Kausani brought them close and they fell in love with each other. The relationship took a new shape and they got married. A year later they were blessed by a baby whom they named Dhruv. But their 'House of Cards' had soon been blown away by a powerful storm. One fateful night, Ved made a terrible mistake, he was caught in adultery. The purity of their love had been gnawed by temptation.

But remorse filled Ved's mind and he yearned to get back to Sara once again. But Sara was not ready to forgive him and give him a second chance. Finally on the urge of her grandma, she decided to invite Ved back to her life.

In this story the author has very well presented the fact that nature is a true healer. It was the divine nature in form of Kausani, that helped to heal all the wounds. It was nature which brought the two lovers close once again.

Life isn't about giving a second chance, it's about giving new chances everyday.

The language is quite good. The theme and plot are excellent. The title is unique. The cover is alright. Characters have been well designed. Overall I really liked the book.
