'You Made Me What I Am' is all about the life of a simple guy, Arya, pursuing engineering in a reputed college. He comes across Ayesha over social media and their friendship turns into love. But something happens and they part ways. Arya's world is shattered in a single blow. The novel is about love, friendship, brotherhood and the ups and downs of life.
Review
The story revolves around Arya, who's a meritorious engineering student. One day, he came across Ayesha over Facebook. Ayesha belonged to the same place as he but they hadn't known each other before. Their connections intensified and gradually the friendship made way for a deeper connection. Arya was literally the king of his own life with close friends and Ayesha. But something happened that dragged him from zenith to nadir of his life. The terrible misunderstanding between Ayesha and Arya left a deep impact on Arya's mind. Dreams and hopes shattered as their ways parted.
The book is all about Arya's journey of life and it'll definitely affect the way we look at life. The author has beautifully brought out the mental state of Arya. This is a story of love and friendship, no doubt Arya's love was genuine! The story deals with the different dimensions of relationships - love, affection, friendship and every dimension has been perfectly made visible to the reader.
Dr. Shreya is the best character in the book according to me. I would like to thank the author for remembering to put the cherry on top of the cake! 😂
The plot is good. The storyline is a bit down. The language needs a little improvement. There has been a few grammatical mistakes, spelling errors, punctuation mistakes. So the book needs a thorough edit. The theme is excellent. The blurb isn't that interesting as compared to the book. The cover looks good. The title is catchy. The characters have been well designed.
Overall, as a debut novel of the author, this book has come up with flying colours.
