Book Review : The Talking Stories by Heena Joshi

Stories, if told with a dab of emotions, tint of mystery, pinch of obscurity and touch of completeness, turn into sagas. The Talking Stories is an effort for the same and brings you stories, some of which will touch you, some will leave you dumbfounded and some will charm you into their mysterious veil.

Review

I must say this is an amazing piece of work by Heena. This book has indeed come up with flying colors. This is a collection of 11 short stories, each of which are unique. The language is fluent and crystal clear which adds to the beauty of the stories. Each story is simple in itself but has an uncanny ability to leave the reader to contemplate the deeper meaning. This book is an amazing combination of stories of different flavours like love, hatred, revenge, anger, thrill, grief, greed, beauty of relationship, pinch of spookiness and much more! Each story has its own quality to make a deep impact on the minds of the reader. It's indeed praiseworthy that the authors have chosen to combine so many different themes in a single book.

My personal favorites had been "Being Tanisha", "Red "," A Vision for Sight "...

As I had mentioned before, the language is lucid. The cover could have been better though... The title says a lot but it could have been more catchy. The blurb is quite well written. The theme is wonderful. The storyline is good.

Highly recommended. It's absolutely not the usual kind of book we're used to read! 💟💟💟
