Till a few years back, she was everything that would make anyone jealous - beautiful, rich and successful. But then the wheels of time turned. Today, she is miserable and lonely. Would she get over a deception? Can she forgive herself for deserting a friend? Would she ever find true love? Will karma get the better of her or will life give her another chance to correct the wrongs?

Then The Doorbell rang is about Jane's roller-coaster journey as she explores the mystical phenomenon called Life.

Review

A nice book. The title of the book is so intriguing that it kind of lured me to grab the book. The cover also complemented very well. This story revolves around Jane and her disheveled life. Characterisation has played an important role in the story. The character of Jane is so intricately designed that you'll pity her in the beginning but end up falling in love with her. The suspense element kept me glued to the story till the end. The emotional touches here and there added the cherry on the cake. The way the author has described Jane's journey is appreciable and relatable as well. The language is good but could have been a bit more furnished though. There are a few grammatical errors which are worth neglecting though. The theme is really wonderful.
