Just like a scoop of vanilla ice-cream makes the sizzling chocolate brownie delicious, the best friends complemented each other. A chef by passion, Tiasha jumps and waves through her professional choices, while Aakaash, the witty stand-up comedian, knows exactly what he wants. He was the tranquility which refugees crave to stay in and she was the refugee, who wanted to wander and explore. Imperfect Misfits is a story of perfect misfits, food, frolic, emotions and their endless imperfections.
The question is, will their friendship survive through this waving journey of love?
Review
What a beautiful title! Oh yes, I'm literally in love with the title of this book. And the beautiful cover lured me to grab the book. This story is a perfect blend of friendship, blooming love and chasing dreams! This is a bubbly YA read, overloaded with cuteness. This book is quite unique and different from the common teenage romance stories out there. The story revolves around the protagonists, Aakaash and Tiasha who are poles apart, yet the best of friends. Food and humour is always a wonderful combination and thus I grew fond of the dynamic chemistry between Aakaash, a stand up comedian and Tiasha, a chef by passion. Both these characters are so realistic and relatable that I actually felt as if this is my story.
The theme is nice and the plot is well chosen. The storyline is strong enough to make the readers stay glued to the story till the end. The language is simple and lucid. The story has a smooth flow and runs at a fast but uniform pace throughout. Characterisation has played an important role in the story. The characters have been intricately designed with a realistic touch.
Overall this has been an awesome read. This is the first book of Devanshi that I've read, and I feel like getting hold of her previous books at this very moment.
Superb read! You just can't afford to miss this!
